WEB3CLOUD - One stop technology service provider for decentralized cloud computing

Check out our BUIDL: [Web3Cloud | Buidls | DoraHacks]

Value Added

WEB3CLOUD is a Web 3.0 cloud computing platform that integrates storage, computing, and network core capabilities. It aims to help the user to make a smooth leap from Web 2.0 to Web 3.0 and become the infrastructure for millions of Web 3.0 developers and applications.
WEB3CLOUD is a “AWS” of web3 economy, a One-stop technology service provider for decentralized cloud computing.

I. WEB3CLOUD Services:
1. Storage
Storage enables users to upload, store, and fetch files from multiple protocols such as IPFS and Arweave in a secure, convenient, and efficient manner. Additionally, it’s compatible with AWS S3 APIs, interface operations, CLI, and other upload methods.
Value added: User-controlled identity management/authentication, Encrypted and user-owned storage, Private and end-to-end encrypted file sharing, Decentralized/trustless key & metadata storage and handling.
※ Build-in features: Multiple on-chain payments, AWS S3 Data migration

2. Web3 Hosting
WEB3Hosting services can help developers to host Webs or Dapps on multiple protocols such as IPFS and Arweave, etc. Users can swiftly deploy websites to Web3.0 by using Github authorization or a Cli local template build.
※ Build-in features: Serverless computing, ENS Domain, HNS Domain, SNS Domain

3. Decentralized Computing
Virtual Computing with high availability, scalability, and low cost. Connects consumers of cloud services with resource providers of the network who can generate revenue by providing their computing resources and staking a specific amount of tokens. Users of the network are able to deploy applications, containers, or even virtual environments interacting with contracts deployed on the Ethereum blockchain through Web3 libraries.

4. Networking
Decentralized Gateway - Global acceleration network capabilities based on globally distributed gateway nodes
CDN - Fast file retrieval

5. Additional services: Web3 Aggregator, Distributed Database, Serverless, Container service,…

II. Funding

We are requesting a $200K commercial grant split in the following way:
1. Upfront ($25k)
The initial 25k fund will be used to build MVP Storage service, and fund our operating costs, including MVP development environment, marketing strategies, and preparing for fundraising rounds.

No. Features Description Cost
1. Build MVP for storage service (build-in additional features: Private and end-to-end encrypted data sharing, DID- Decentralized identity management, Private and end-to-end encrypted file sharing, Decentralized/trustless key & metadata storage and handling, AmazonS3 Data Migration integration, Multiple on-chain payments. ) $20k
2. Server & Infrastructure cost. $5k

2. Milestone1 ($25k)
We’re targeting our first milestone to be complete in an estimated 3 months. The first milestone will mark the launch of our minimal viable project (MVP) and the first beta testnet for the community to interact with.

No. Features Description Cost
1. Build MVP for Web3Hosting service (build-in features: Gitops CD, Serverless computing, ENS Domain, HNS Domain, SNS Domain. ) $20k
2. Marketing strategies and preparing for fundraising rounds. $5k
3. Launch MVP & 1st beta testnet .

3. Milestone2 ($30k)
We’re targeting our second milestone to be complete around 3 months after our first milestone. By the end of the second milestone, we’ll be performing multiple independent smart contract audits after the permission testnets are made available. Additionally, we’ll start our marketing campaigns around the time the MVP launches, which will incur additional costs.

No. Features Description Cost
1. Build MVP for Container service: Highly scalable and fast container management service. $10k
2. Build MVP for Serverless service: Allows users to build and run applications without having to worry about the underlying infrastructure. $10k
3. Smart contract auditing $5k
4. Marketing: KOL, media, community management. $5k
5. 2nd beta testnet.

4. Milestone3 ($120k)
The last funding (after reaching milestone 2) will be used for additional expenses incurred by marketing and lawyer fees before mainnet launch and Launch build Virtual Computing services

No. Features Description Cost
1. Build MVP for Virtual Computing services: Highly scalable and fast container management service. (Worker node, Client node, Contract, Reward mechanism, Incentive mechanism, Resource staking) $115k
2. Marketing: KOL, media, community management $5k
3. Virtual computing services mainnet launch

Between milestones 1, 2, and 3, we will also extend early access invitations to the DoraHacks community.

Traditional cloud vendors like aws and google invested a lot of money to their infrastructure like physical servers and data centers. How can you avoid spending such money? Or can blockchain replace what traditional cloud vendors need in real life?

@toxicdonut
Web3Cloud leveraged Decentralize data storage networks like Filecoin IPFS, Arweave, and ICP,… to store data, and host websites with low fees. Combining K8S with the above protocols connects consumers of cloud services with resource providers of the network who can generate revenue by providing their computing resources (P2P node) . We plan to build a reward /incentive mechanism for participants to incentivize network usage. Of course, we need to implement step by step each service and need more next fundraising round to build/improve the quality of services. Thanks!

about serverless computing, is it the same lambda in aws ?
what technology are you using?

I believe this project is worth looking forward to, Web 3.0 needs such a project!

Yes, it’s similar to AWS lambda, which aims to allow users to build and run applications without provisioning or managing infrastructure. we based on kubernetes technology to orchestrate, communities will contribute as a worker node (global P2P node network)
